Every time I go into town and arrive in Glasgow’s George Square I feel immense pride of living in this dynamic, lively city. Here some photographs of the heart of this great city. George Square has two major public buildings at either end – the white, elaborately decorated City Chambers to the east and the Merchant House with its small dome, topped with a globe and sailing ship to the west. You can even see our city’s current motto: People make Glasgow … . No surprise then that most of our city tours start right here – a brilliant place to meet old and new friends.
